31st AGM of Jyothi Co-operative Credit Society Ltd
Mumbai: The 31st Annual General Meeting of Jyothi Co-operative Credit Society Ltd was held on 11-August-2012 at Samarasa Bhavana, Karnataka Sangha, Sir Vishveshvarayya Smarak Mandir, Off. T. H. Kataria Marg, C. S. Marg Matunga (W), Mumbai – 400016. The Secretary Shri P. Devadas L. Kulal welcomed all the members present. He also invited all the members of managing committee on the dais upon which, the chairman Mr. N. G. Moolya presided over the AGM. The Vice Chairman Shri Girish B. Salian, Treasurer Shri Narayan Nethrakere and the members of Managing Committee Shri Hindurao M. Thorat, Shri Karunakar J. Moolya, Adv. Sanjeeva S. Bangera, Shri Girish V. Karkera, Shri P. Shekhar Moolya, Shri Devdas M. Banjan, Shri Rajesh S. Banjan, Shri D. I. Moolya, Shri Chandu K. Moolya and Adv. Savina S. Bangera were present on the dais.
In his inaugural welcome address, the Chairman gave a brief history of the Society and informed the members on the progress made by the Society in the last 31 years and also briefed them on the progress made by the society during the year under report. The meeting commenced with the lighting of Holy Lamp by the president of Kulala Sangha-Mumbai, Shri P. K. Salian, Shri N. G. Moolya and the members of managing committee.
The minutes and Annual Report of 30th Annual General Meeting were read by the secretary which were unanimously approved and accepted. The secretary also presented Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account of the society for the year ended 31-3-2012 and the same was also accepted and approved by the General Body. The appropriation of profit for the year ended 31-3-2012 as recommended by the managing committee was approved by the general body and accordingly, a divided at the rate of 14% per annum to the shareholders for the year 2011-2012 was declared. The budget for the year 2012-2013 was also accepted and approved.
During speeches by audience, Shri Gururaj S. Nayak, Shri Krishna S. Moolya, Shri Ganapati Kumar Nashik, Shri P. K. Salian, Shri Jaya S. Anchan, Shri Shankar Y. Moolya Shri Laxman C. Moolya, Shri Raghu R. Moolya and Shri Ramesh Moolya Dindoshi appreciated the progress and growth achieved by the society and also gave valuable advices and suggestions. The members of managing committee Shri Girish B. Salian, Shri H. M. Thorat and Advocate Savina S, Bangera also spoke on the occasion.
Chairman Speech : Shri N. G. Moolya thanked the members for attending AGM in large numbers which was a first in 31 years of society’s history. He also thanked the borrowers and stated that in any credit society, the sound borrowers are the backbone on whom, society’s source of income is solely dependent. Making a special mention of the staff and JDD agents for their sincere and dedicated output, he also mentioned that the combined support and faith shown by the members, customers and also Kulala Sangha including its various local committees has culminated in a strong and stable recognition for the society.
