Blood Donation Camp by Yuva Troupe of Students Council Committee of Kulala Sangha-Mumbai
Mumbai: Blood costs nothing to us but it is priceless to someone else. Like any other charitable donation, blood donation is also a precious one.
Yuva Troupe of Students Council Committee of Kulala Sangha-Mumbai organized a Blood Donation Camp on 15th August 2012 from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. at N.K.E.S. High School, Wadala, Mumbai. The blood donation camp was inaugurated upon lighting of holy lamp by the president of Kulala Sangha-Mumbai Mr. P. K. Salian, principal of N.K.E.S. High School Mrs. Saroja Rao, Dr. Sahana Moolya of Goregaon and Dr. Chandrakala of Tata Memorial Hospital. The active and whole-hearted participation of the members of Kulala Yuva Troupe under the able guidance of Students Council chairman Mr. Karunakar J. Moolya and the members of Kulala Sangha-Mumbai made this event a highly successful one.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Saroja Rao said that donating the blood is a noble act. It may be like a drop in the ocean but it surely saves a precious life. Mr. P. K. Salian said that Yuva Troupe wing of Student Council of Kulala Sangha has been conducting this event for the past 3 years with a noble objective which has proved to be a successful mission. He urged all the healthy and young people to come forward and donate blood for the benefit of the society. Dr. Sahana Moolya while expressing her pleasure for being a part of this noble drive said that every drop of blood donated would save a life and all of us must keep donating blood as and when possible. Dr. Chandrakala of Tata Memorial Hospital stated that she felt very grateful for being associated with this blood donation drive undertaken by Kulala Sangha and its Yuva Troupe wing of Students Council. She expressed the hope that this drive initiated by the above organization three years ago would continue to take place every year and urged more and more youngsters to come forward to help this noble cause.
