31st AGM of Jyothi Co-operative Credit Society Ltd
Mumbai: The 31st Annual General Meeting of Jyothi Co-operative Credit Society Ltd was held on 11-August-2012 at Samarasa Bhavana, Karnataka Sangha, Sir Vishveshvarayya Smarak Mandir, Off. T. H. Kataria Marg, C. S. Marg Matunga (W), Mumbai – 400016. The Secretary Shri P. Devadas L. Kulal welcomed all the members present. He also invited all the members of managing committee on the dais upon which, the chairman Mr. N. G. Moolya presided over the AGM. The Vice Chairman Shri Girish B. Inauguration of “Jyothi” Collection Centre in Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai: The 3rd branch–cum-collection Centre of Jyothi Co-operative Credit Society Ltd in Navi Mumbai area was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Mr. K. D. Shetty, Chairman, Matrubhoomi Co-op. Credit Society Ltd on 08-07-2012 at 11.00 am at Haware Centurion, Shop No.S-07-14/15, Plot no.88/91, Sector No.19A, Nerul, Near Seawood Railway Station, Navi Mumbai – 400 706. The guest of honour Mr. Santhosh D. Shetty, Corporator, Navi Mumbai Mahanagarpalika performed the initial operation of office-computer system and another guest of honour, Mr. Ramesh M. Poojary, Trustee of Nerul Shaneeshwar Temple performed the opening of office ‘Safe Locker”. These proceedings were preceded by Gana Homa and Lakshmi Pooja performed by Mr. Balakrishna Bhat of Nerul which was participated by Dr. Harish B. Salian and Dr. Suchitra H. Salian.
In the stage function held after the inauguration of the new office, Mr. K. D. Shetty, Mr. Santhosh D. Shetty, Mr. Ramesh M. Poojary, another gurst of honour Mr. P. K. Salian, President, Kulala Sangha-Mumbai, Mr. N. G. Moolya, Chairman, Jyothi Co-op Credit Society Ltd. Mr. Girish B. Salian, Vice-chairman, Mr. P. Devadas L. Kulal, Secretary, Mr. Narayan Nethrakere, Treasurer, Mr. Raghu Moolya P., Chairman, Navi Mumbai local committee of Kulala Sangha-Mumbai and Mr. Mr. S. B. Kotian, prominent local builder were present on the dais. After Mr. Devadas Kulal invited the above guests and office-bearers to the dais, the function started with the prayer by Mrs. Usha R. Moolya, Mrs. Baby V. Bangera and Mrs. Shakunthala R. Banjan After the lighting of “Holy Lamp” by the guests, Mr. N. G. Moolya formally welcomed the gathering and gave a brief history of the Society and its growth and achievements. He stated – “Jyothi credit society started 31 years ago in a humble way to help the cause of poor and down-trodden members of Kulala community, has now grown substantially catering to the financial needs of all sections of the society. All the transactions and dealings of Jyothi Credit Society are transparent. The success of two branches at Karlyan and Borivali has given us the confidence to open this new office (collection centre) in Navi Mumbai”. The guests Mr. K. D. Shetty, Mr. Santhosh D. Shetty, Mr. Ramesh M. Poojary, Mr. P. K. Salian and Mr. S. B. Kotian were felicitated by Mr. N. G. Moolya, Mr. Girish B. Salian, Mr. P. DEvadas Kulal, Mr. Narayan Nethrakere and Mr. P. Shekhar Moolya respectively.
Mr. K. D. Shetty, in his speech, said – “With the aim of helping the Kulala community members of Navi Mumbai to become financially stable, Jyothi Co-op Credit Society has opened a new office (Collection Centre) in Nerul. This is really commendable. Let this new office respond positively to the financial needs of local people and brighten their lives with positive contribution”. Mr. Santhosh D. Shetty said – “The contribution of Tuluvas from undivided Dakshina Kannada to banking and co-operative sector is tremendous. Jyothi Credit Society has also contributed to Maharashtra co-operative sector in its own way. Nerul is known as the abode of various Gods and “Jyothi”, with the blessings of all Gods here, will surely make the life of local masses comfortable. Let the ‘Jyothi’ keep glowing forever”. Mr. Ramesh M. Poojary said – “Nerul means ‘shade’. The ray of ‘Jyothi’ under the shade of Nerul will give ray of hope and financial stability to the people of this area. People belonging to all sections of society here, will extend all the co-operation for the progress of Jyothi credit society. Lord Shaneeshwara will always be with Jyothi Credit Society”. Mr. P. K. Salian said – “Let Jyothi credit Society blossom as a great support base for the masses. All Kulala members must develop cordial relations with this credit society and become instrumental in making it a strong and stable financial organization”.
Mr. Laxman C. Moolya, Mr. P. Shekhar Moolya, Mr. Lakshmish Kotian of Tulu-Kannada Welfare Association, Kamote, Mr. H. M. Thorat, Mr. Raghu B. Moolya, Mr. B. Dinesh Kulal and Dr. Suchitra H. Salian spoke on this occasion lauding the progress made by ‘Jyothi’ and welcomed the decision to open new office in Nerul.
On conclusion, Mr. Narayan Nethrakere delivered Vote of Thanks. Mr. P. Devadas L. Kulal compered the proceedings of the function. After the function, lunch was served.
